Hello Everyone!
My name is Jordana Carideo and I am a senior Public Relations major at Quinnipiac University! When thinking of an idea for a Blog I was trying to think of something creative and most importantly something that I am passionate about and what better then to blog about the life of an Intern in the field of PUBLIC RELATIONS!
Over the past four years at Quinnipiac University I have been working hard and trying to get as much experience in the industry as possible while being a full time student. I feel that the key to success as an intern is to find your passion! what makes you want to get up in the morning and look for an internship and even potential job! is it in Non-profit PR? Financial PR? Crisis Communications? sit down and really think about what makes you happy.
Many college students go into freshman year not knowing what they want to do for the next four years of their lives, or what path they can turn onto in the years to come. I am one of the lucky students who knew what they wanted to do since Day 1 of college and that is Public Relations. Once you find that passion, find that direction of what you know will make you happy in life Take it! and run with it!
In the many weeks to come I will be writing for the current, and future interns in the PR industry and even outside! i hope to lend you all advice, insight, and even a few laughs along the way!
